The internet is awash with people attempting to make easy money with the minimum effort. Many industries have been affected by these types & it was only a matter of time before their interest turned to leaflet & flyer distribution.
Over the last few years anybody performing a Google search for ‘leaflet distributors’ or ‘leaflets delivered’ in their area will have been confronted with Ad Words & listings in the natural returns from what can only be described as ‘leaflet delivery brokers’. Essentially they are individuals or organisations that pretend to be leaflet distribution companies that undertake door-to-door leaflet drops themselves, but in reality have rarely if ever posted anything save a birthday card to a friend through a letterbox.
Dig a bit deeper
On cursory inspection their websites seem increasingly plausible with offers to deliver a customer’s leaflets & flyers anywhere that the client requires. Delve a little deeper however & the website is often shallow with spammy text to achieve a high search engine ranking. There is rarely any real evidence contained within the pages of the site to show a real life leaflet distribution company at work. Fake positive reviews on Trustpilot or Google are also tactics they use to convince the unwary to part with money and entrust the distribution of their leaflets to them.
Be especially wary of leaflet distribution companies & brokers that cover their website with the logos of household brands. We work with numerous global brands that would be mortified if we were to reveal their marketing strategy to their competitors by plastering their logos all over our site. What luck
You may be lucky & find you’re dealing with a ‘leaflet broker’ or ‘leaflet agent’ that simply places your work with an un-vetted distributor in the area you want covered & that has quoted the lowest price to win the brokers business. In this scenario at least your leaflets have a slim chance of being delivered as you wanted. If you are unlucky the ‘broker’ will simply tell you the leaflets have been delivered but in reality they have more than likely been disposed of in a way that has absolutely no chance of generating any new business for you.

It’s certainly not all doom & gloom — ensuring leaflets only get into the hands of genuine professional leaflet distribution companies is not as hard as it may seem. It simply requires a little more effort to check out the organisations you plan to partner with for your delivery.
